Axiom Terminateair

The portable, high-performance Axiom Terminateair mini hose pump is precision-engineered to meet the needs of cyclists on the move. The Terminateair features a unique Quick-Flip head that adapts to Presta, Schrader or Dunlop valves and won’t loosen valve cores when disconnected. A textured, non-slip grip offers provides a confident handhold for wet, sweaty or muddy hands.

From Bike Radar:

Axiom’s superbly named Terminateair HP is a slim 23mm in diameter and 26.5cm long when closed, but extends to an impressive 60cm when the 18cm flexible hose is extended. It comes with a lifetime guarantee.

Alternating smooth shaped aluminium bands with raised, knurled hoops gives great grip, and the head works for Presta and Schraeder valves.

At 122g, the Axiom’s weight makes it slightly less susceptible to escaping from rear pockets than heavier options – but it’s unlikely you’d fit more than half of it in. Therefore the supplied bottle boss mount is the sensible option, and rubber seals keep moisture out of the body and head effectively.

This is a conventional pump, except that the hose pulls out from the smaller handle end, and you pump with the longer part. The Revalver screw-on head secures with a satisfying snick, and grip is outstanding.

The 16.5cm stroke length is impressive, but volume is moderate and it’s single-action only. This makes the action light, but 100 strokes produced just 33psi, measured after unscrewing the head, which releases a small amount of pressure. Its 160psi rating is impressive – so long as you’re in no hurry.
